Facebook?

Two days ago I posted a new thread in the General Information section. Since that time I have received a bunch of responses from FACEBOOK. Is this information being posted on FACEBOOK? If so, how can I stop receiving stuff from FACEBOOK. I don't like FACEBOOK. I don't use FACEBOOK.

Sean, in the thread that John mentions, in your reply you commented: "posted on my fb page". I have a useless FB account (useless by my choosing) but I have little knowledge of the innerworkings. Could you explain what you meant? Just curious...

I posted that a buddy of mine "John Schmidt" was looking for information about the hood he had...as John was registered to FB all people had to do was search his name and send him friend requests.. there are hundreds of Buick fans on FB The BPG group has 276 fans.. V8 has 191 Turbo buick.com 260.. the list goes on TA has a FB page Cars Inc..Midwest...NE GN/GS club the list goes on...within 20 mins of me posting looking for info we had an answer,,,and I had spent almost an hour searching the net... I am sorry that John got a lot of requests,but FB is now the new medium to get information out.

Sean, thanks for the explanation. I have a FB acct, reluctantly. I've deactivated it once before, and frequently consider doing so again. Not because it irritates me, but because I don't use it, so that it doesn't irritate me... make sense? I've been flooded w/friend requests a few times. PITA. I can sympathize with John.
