Made it home OK.

Thank God all are safe and sound. As you all know we had a serious mishap this trip. But the material things can be replaced. The part to be greatful for is as friends we all pulled together in the face of adversity. No one wanted to leave until Nancy and John were ready to. We all caravaned home in the pouring rain.

Thank you Guys!!!

Thanks very much Dave and everybody for hanging out at the hotel and making sure we got home safely. Hope your car isn't too water logged! See ya, John & Nancy

You are very welcome John. If there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask. You know we'll all help out make things right.

The car is now in the garage with all the windows, trunk and hood open with 2 fans and a dehumidifier running. It really got a baptism this trip.

Same here, the racecar was soaked. A good test for the Centurion, had no leaks.

Also Dave, I spoke to Carl and he is working a deal to obtain car boots. We may get a discount if we get 5 or so boots. They are going without any discount for about $450. Pretty steep but very effective and cheap when we consider losing everything.

Dave also had a sensor unit in his '69. It is called "The Reporter" sensor. People this little thing sets up a mobile sensor placed on the rear car shelf (or anywhere else) and will pick up any activity in the car such as a thief getting inside. There is a very loud reciever that you keep in the hotel room and it buzzes when there is movement inside the car. It sells for $79. The only option it doesn't come with is a baseball bat, which you need to supply:RE: Check out the link. I ordered mine tonight.

Thanks Rick.. I forgot to post that info.. :DOU:

I found one online from Flora Wrecker Sales (http://www.florawrecker.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TS&Product_Code=WESODB100) in Elizabeth, NJ . I'd really like to get a look at whatever we decide to buy. If anyone lives near this place maybe they could go check them out for us.

Dave the boot we are looking at is something like this. It even has a felt padding to protect the rims from scratches.
