OK, got a wierd question here - where did my front swaybar endlinks go???

The endlinks, poly bushings, etc - GONE. Both sides. :WOW:

I was installing my new MSD box, and was underneath bolting it down behind the DS headlights, and noticed that the swaybar ends were just hovering in mid-air, with the frame bushings holding the bar still. Freaky....

Can't believe somebody would steal 10-year-old endlinks, or that they'd both break and completely disappear....

Needless to say, I didn't get the MSD install completed (yet), I got a little sidetracked. But I DID take the opportunity to get poly bushings on both the endlinks and the frame, fwiw.

10 years is about right for one side to rot off up here in New England.

Then again the other side is usually still on there and you wish it had rotted off when you go to replace it. :CRAP:

Can't really see that happening down in Abilene however.

Maybe the bunny took them?

Maybe you had an alignment done or some other form of front end work done to the car, and the tech just forgot to install them. I find it highly unlikely they both just fell out. Weird tho.:E:

Were they ever there to begin with?:PUZ:

Yup, they were there back in August when I was looking at the control arm bushings.

Nobody else has worked on the car since then, except the shop that installed the posi carrier. Other than that and a tranny rebuild 6 years ago, I've done all the wrenching on the car.

Things that make ya go: "hmmmmmm....."

Did you ever find out what happened to your end links?

Nope. The only thing I can figure is that both bolts broke within a week or so of each other.

You got as much use out of them as was possible. That is odd...:PUZ:

Nope, I'm not complaining - I got a good excuse to not only get new ones, but also to upgrade the bar's frame mounts with poly bushings. Even tighter, now!
