I don't have any contacts for having shirts made but is there a chance to have polo/golf style shirts made with the BPG logo? They can be sold at the Nationals and on-line.

Sure Mike. We will look into that. Any color preference or logo layout. Mike Atwood is on top of the layout stuff. I would assume the logo would be embroidered.

John,

Nothing fancy, maybe the BPG logo with 2006 nationals below it or maybe just the BPG logo so that the shirt can be sold year round.

Maybe its just me that likes this type of shirt so it may be a good topic to post a poll question about it.

I don't want to create any extra work for anyone.

I like the idea of a polo shirt. Lord knows I have enough T-shirts already. Maybe just have BPG and in script under that put Nationals. That way it's good for any year!:YA:
Gotta make sure we can get them in pink though....... for the ladies....... and Moon-man.

has anyone looked at CafePress.com? you can set up a store there, upload images, offer them on tons of different products. They handle taking orders, production, and shipping. A simple store (one image, limited products) is free, but for like $6.95 a month, you can have several different images and many different products.

I think Buickland has a store through there. I set one up for my horse association, very easy - you set the prices and therefore the profit, Cafepress sends you a check.

If anyone is interested, I can walk you through it, or I could probably be persuaded to do a little volunteer work!

Make sure you put Jason Cook and "G" Dave down for a PINK one also !

Does anyone have a color suggestion for Mr. Atwood ? :TH:

How about a medium gray or maroon? I like the idea of just the BPG Nationals logo with "Nationals" in script - that way they will work with any year. Of course that does mean you need to wash them between the yearly events! So that's another requirement - machine washable.

Certainly not the BRIGHT green ones the directors were wearing in 2004!:WOW:

....just dont skimp.

My Airplane club had a fiasco last year with a new vendor and our national event shirts - someone on the steering committee decided to go cheap, they all bled during the first wash and what a hassle it was dealing with returns/reimbursments/replacements

I'll have you know that color is "bright aqua" and was personally chosen by our own "fav" glamor guy, Yardley.

ps: not really, but it does sound like a good excuse for the color...

Polo shirts would be nice!

I get a lot of wear out the the polo shirts that I bought at the BCA 100 year show but they are starting to get a little ragged. It would be nice to replace them with a few new BPG polo's :TU:

I think they ran in the $35 to $42 range and thats pretty reasonable..

Thanks Annie, it looks like they make it real easy to set something up. I made up an order to try out, but I could only find the polo shirt in white on their site. It also said nothing about embroidered logo, so I took that it would be a silk screened process. I dunno about all these "grease monkeys" running around in white polo shirts! LOL...just kidding.
I would like to get some differing colors.
Here is what it would look like...... if we did an order from CafePress. I would like to see an embroidered logo though.

Cool!!! The club can use all the help they can get! The BOD will have to let us know which direction they want to go with shirts. :BEERS:

I would like to see an embroidered logo though.

My wife can do that. We have an embroidery machine that can digitize and sew just about anything. If people want an embroidered design instead of silk screened, we can do it. I just don't want to step on any toes, given I'm on the BOD...just trying to keep everything above board.

The cost would be about like Mike T said in an earlier post, depending on stitch count of the design and the cost of the blank (the shirt).

If you want us to put together a quote, we can. I would need a very clean design to digitize and get a stitch count from. It should be in 1:1 scale and in just about any format (.jpg, .bmp, .art, etc). It takes a little while to digitize a design labor-wise, so give us about a week or two to come up with a price. Let me know if this is something you all would be interested in.

Mike,

I haven't looked looked through the CafePress newer products in a while. They have quite a range of stuff (mugs, tote bags, hats, sweatshirts, etc). Some of them are available in different colors. They do a direct printing process of some sort (the details are at their site somewhere). The shirts and products I have from them are high quality, Hanes shirts, the printing is nice.

It is quite the set up, and when you start looking at adding different designs it can be quite a fundraiser. Anyone with decent Photoshop skills and some creativity can make up cool stuff. Best part is, they handle all the grunt work and money!!

Any way it works out, just let me know. Could be a good fundraiser in addition to embrodered shirts, and I'm sure someone could really make a pretty good run with fun car designs.

Really cool of you to offer this Brad!! That would give the club 100% control of the product! Excellent! I am all for this plan! :YA:

It looks like it could be a neat addition to stuff for the Nats...... or even stuff we could offer all year long. Maybe not coffee mugs for me..... but I'd definitely like to see a BPG beer mug! :BROW:

OK guys and girls, time to put your thinking caps on. I've done a lot of investigation into this and have come up with the following:

Jerzeez 50/50 (50% cotton, 50% polyester) high quality polo shirt with stain release. Same shirt as the directors wore in the Teal color, but other colors are available and are recommended.

BPG logo embroidered onto left breast area. This is a high quality, high stitch count logo (almost 14,000 stitches). Thank Cole Smith for getting me the digitized logo, gang. He's the man!

This is high quality stuff, just like us and our Buicks!

Color choices would be White, Heather (like a gray sweat shirt color-very classy looking...), Red, Medium Light Blue, and Yellow. Stitching on all except the red shirts would be "BPG" in red thread, the tire doing a burnout in black and white and "Buick Performance Group" spelled out below the tire, just like what's inside the circle of blue letters on the logo at the top of this page. The red shirts would have black lettering to contrast with the shirt.

$35.00 each shipped to your door for sizes S-XL, $38.00 for 2XL, 3XL sizes (I know, us fat guys always get picked on).

OK, I need to know how many people this to move forward, your size, color prefrence and number of shirts you want. Consider this a "pre-order" so I can judge sizes and colors wanted.

In order for this to be economically viable, we need at least 50 shirts to be sold up-front to cover the costs involved. Tell me if I'm all wet or if this is a good idea and we'll go from there.

Need to find that weight loss, ran out of ways on the car so my fat arss was next on the list. Yep I'm in for 2 large sizes, scratch that x-large size for me.
