I think members should start spreading the news about this site there isn't much going on I have asked many guys about this and they said they knew nothing of it so told them about it and they say the samething I am not much going on right now, gotta start pushing the site to other Buick people and any other car buffs, just my 2 cents. :TH:

Well....... the big push for the past couple of years has been for all of the tech stuff to be discussed over on the V8 site. I won't go into the reasoning behind that, as I never agreed with it.
We have almost everything here that the V8 site has, and many of the same people frequent this board as well. I am sure with time, word will spread about the forums here. It never hurts to tell all of your friends though!
The V8 site is NOT a club. While it can offer information, we have one up on it with a club newsletter, a national event in it's 3rd great year, and we have some of the most knowlegeable Buick guys in the world running the club here. Everything that the club takes in, gets put right back into the running of the club. The members actually run the club! <=== I like saying that! :BROW:

New to the forum today. Thinking about joining "club" soon. Does memberships run from the 1st of the year to the end of the year, or from when the dues are paid thru one years time frame? Thanks. Jim

Dues are for the calander year as far as I know, but if you join now, it wou;d be for the 2007 yr (and whatever is left of 2006. Good chance you can get some of the old new letters too!). i'm sure Brad will see this thread here shortly and either confirm or correct my answer. :TU:

Dan is exactly correct in his statements. Join now and you'll be carried through the 2007 calendar year and I usually throw in your packet this years newsletters, too.

Dues are $35 for 1 year, $65 for 2 years and $90 for 3 years. Mail your check, payable to Buick Performance Group to:

BPG
PO Box 614
Marysville, OH 43040-0614

I'll make sure to get things out to you right away.

Thanks!

Don't tell anyone else about this site....send them over to V8.

I like the more "family" oriented type of stuff that goes on here. More of the kind of stuff that you usually only say within your family or between close friends.:WOW:

Outsiders might be offended....:DOU:

This is an honest, friendly club site for the benefit of Buick owners while v8 is a lure for a for-profit business. Big difference.

Jamie,

You joined 6-8-06 with check #1544. I hate to say this, but with all the "goings on", we're behind in the newsletters. There is one right now in the famous USPS on it's way to the printers and one to follow on it's heels (hopefully) by 12-01-06. We're trying.

If anybody has ANYTHING, I'm sure Rick would be more than happy to accept your contribution for the newsletter. He has a thankless job trying to write material for the newsletter. We all (me included) should send him something, anything, to help make his job easier.

Jim...Word of caution here. When you pay your dues, and if you attend the BPG event, make double sure you eat at the cheapest reataurant and late, late at night. Seems a couple of the BOD members "Hog" up all the good restaurants booths and take their time eating.Next thing you know they offer you to join them in eating if you agree to pay their Steep bill...
Seriously, its a good place to hang out and the event is a real fun event. The BOD members are all good people and we have a fun time busting on them as well. Welcome!!!::TU:

Hi Guys. Not sure as to what is happening over in the Garage, but I'm going to hold back for a few days (on my dues) and see what develops. The thread titled [quote] " BOD Resignation" [unquote] has grabbed my attention and in my estimation has turned pretty nasty with a few ca-ca mouth remarks and strong emotions posted. (Rules for posting, eh?) I sure didn't expect this and it caught me by surprise, to say the least. :WOW: :CRAP: :RE: The last post @ around 2150 hrs (my time) suggested that the original poster of thread should maybe delete his comment which if I guess right would eliminate the whole contents of said thread. I would hope that that wouldn't be done as it would, in my opinion, lead to a case of double jeopardy. I wish the BOD well in their quest for finding a solution to this, er, (little?) problem. Best Wishes. Jim :PUZ:

Nope, not planning on giving up. Just doing a little waiting is all. I'd rather be on the inside looking out than being on the outside looking in. Over the past 3 years I've heard to many good things about the BPG organization to cut and run. Jim :BROW:

Growing pains, thats all. Most everyone here wants whats best for the BPG. Small differences aside, this is a great place to hang out. Dont let the SMALL differences keep you away, or you will miss out on A LOT in life.

We have small differences every day.
