Hemmings Muscle Machines presents Spring & Fall MUSCLEPALOOZA III, at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, New York.
Our Spring event will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2006. Sure, you'll be able to show your car in our huge car show field, but you'll also be able to run the 1320 flat out to find out just who is king of the hill.

If I drive my car down, do I have to park over in the grass or can I park over closer to the staging area? I don't really want to pay the 15 bucks to enter the car show but I guess I will if it means I dont have to try to squeeze in across the street.

I'll be there, probably with the '69. The wagon made the last 2 events but I'm still waiting on Scotty for my new motor, so it's not going to make it this time.
Hey Dom, if you're going, does that mean you've got your motor back from Scotty? If so, how about some numbers???

The "THREE STOOGES have decided to ride up to Musclebazooka in "BIG RED" !!!
Should be good fun and lots of laughs as usual !!!
....BigRed Galloped down 340 miles yesterday - Taconic State Pkwy is THE road for a nice 3 hr ride. Going up, we cruised with a '68 Shelby Cobra Covert. I jokingly said to the other Stooges "Want to eat some Snake for Breakfast ?!?!?" :BROW: :BROW:
We didn't play on the road, but upon getting to MusclePalooza and seeing the car in the Show, Im mightly glad I didnt - it had a BIGGGG SuperCharger under the hood !! Period-correct too :WOW: :DOU: and a 4-speed car to boot !!
MusclePalooza was INCREADIBLE !!! I LOVE our Buick-only events, but this brought a whole new rainbow of flavor to the tables with Everything imaginable both in the show and dragging down the strip.
HowZabout a '68 ?? Chevy Woodie Wagon, factory 427" with a 4-Speed running Low 12's in the FAST class ?!?!?
We had a great time. Bob Christo was still running rounds in his Braket class when we left - HOPE YOU WON BOB !!
Phil is going to have an interesting story to tell too.....Hope all is well Phil
WHERE ARE THE PIX !!!!????!!!!

Alan
Bob was in it for two more rounds after you guys left. He jumped the light by .007. He and Carl were packing up when I left. I think the three of us were the last to leave.
Phil- I too hope all is well. Could have been a lot worse.
Yeah and where are the pics. I need to change my avatar to one of the pics from the tower.

His black '73 GS 4-speed car is now minus one 4-speed tanny. He broke a the slip yoke and front u-joint at the track and I guess that either caused or indicated a problem in the trans. John Csordas (as usual) came to the rescue and installed the new joint in a yoke that someone at the track donated to Phil's cause. As John and I pulled out of LVD, Phil (following behind us)reported he had no 4th gear. John said to leave it in 3rd and we'd take it slow going home. Halfway home Phil had to pull over since smoke was pouring out from under his car. The cause? Gear lube leaking out of the trans and hitting the exhaust. We left Phil's car parked in a dealership lot and John called his tow company to go get it. Not the way Phil wanted his day to go, but it could've been a lot worse. :TU:

Doug,
Sorry to hear that. One of the many reasons I don't like to drive the car that I plan to race. Much easier to just put it on the trailer and get it home.
Then again, the only trouble I ever had (knock on wood) was with the TOW CAR breaking down. :DOU: :DOU: :DOU:
Hope things get fixed real soon for Phil!

Thanks guys could have been worse. I was laughung about it with Doug on the way to NAPA:DOU: John Csordas as usual is the best:SMART: Got a pass after they fixed it! Good thing I did not need 4th gear. I was so careful on the line I almost stalled out! The car ran thru the 3 gears pretty well at almost 100 mph even tho i did't get off the line. The motor is strong (Thanks Scotty) Anyone got a T-10 for sale. I have a friend who will fix the M-21 I hope as it is #"s matching. Mark too bad you don't do 4 speeds. Oh well Norwalk with the racer this week. It's an Auto trans:SMART:

Phil,
Sorry you had problems. Oddly enough, I find manual trans' more difficult than auto's. Go figure.
At least you got the day in and the car is running. Hang onto the original trans and you should be able to find someone to set it right. Get it fixed, lubed up and store it away.
Take care,
Mark
