What is a "stratos" bench/bucket seat???

I've seen this term, maybe for Oldsmobile? What does it mean? Any pictures? :COMP:

Bill,
The Strato Seat Company manufactured the seat frames/cushions for our cars. That's where the term "Strato Bucket Seats" comes from.

Thanks! Were some of the Buick seats (bench?) made by another company? I ask because I've read ads about covers for seats and Strato seats, like there is a difference.

All the buckets and both styles of bench seats (with and without armrest) for the 65-72 GM intermediates were all made by Strato. I can't swear about the other cars, but I believe it was more of a marketing thing then anything else.
