1970 buick electra custom convertible

asking $12,000 ....car needs to be sold soon ....car recently redone...located in chicago....clean car with only 2 slight slight flaws in recent paint ...

motor has 51,000 miles and is original...runs out great...


this is a lead on the car...the people selling live in my neighborhood and are in the proscess of moving out of state....

Ok, it has new paint. ---Bondo, rust issues repaired, accidents, is black the original color? New interior, or the original, options?

"car recently redone" ----Doesn't tell us a lot.

"motor has 51,000 miles and is original...runs out great..." ---So, does that mean nothing has been done to the engine and/or chassis/ drive train, etc. I think you will need to a very detailed history. Nice car though.:TU:

motor is original and not rebuilt...owner says car had faded paint and some slight surface rust before paint job...


ok....I just came back from taking a 5 mile ride in the beast...car runs great ...will chirp them tires...it has a 455 all original ..
...a/c is there as well but no gas in system ,compressor not locked up.......the car has recent dual exhaust ...and also has a slight passenger side exhaust manifold leak...easy fix..
..and the cruise control works...all power windows work ..slight drag with passenger though....

the motor is dry and no oil leaks where its conastantly parked

.the car has 4 wheel drums that stop on a dime...with a very slight pull to the right ...tires are good with original caps...

the top was changed last year....the top works smooth and operates the way its suppose 2...and no water leak issues.....the paint on car was put on at same time..but has 2 small minor blemishes (cracking) about the size of a quarter...one on the hood and another on 1/4 panel....
doors close solid and no slop

car has power trunk....it works...
the trunk is clean ..no holes but slight surface rust in some areas...



front bumper is str8 ..rear bumper also ..but with slight pitting....also some chrome has some pitting as well...the front buick emblem is cracked as well..

the rear fender skirts work fine ..with one side needing adjustment on one of the rear hooks..

interior is clean ...seats and carpet done recently as well...and dash as well..

the car is a great running and good looking ...I would give it a rating of a number 3 car in codition...(#1 being show)


the seller is looking for fast sale and has dropped price....
