Got My Car Down the Track

Well, Today Wednesday, Sept 6, I drove my car up to Lebanon Valley Dragway with fellow N.E member Bob Christo. Got 3 runs in. 12.771, 12.755, and 12.832, all at 104 MPH + Calculated Altitude ranged from 1280-796 Ft. Temps from 66-60* Barometer from 29.47-29.57. Ignition timing for all 3 runs was 36* retarding back 4* at 3600 RPM (32*) Didn't change the timing, but probably would have went faster with more timing. I'll sort that out some other time, but for now, I gained 1/2 a second, and 3 MPH+. Englishtown is 2 tenths faster than Lebanon, so I figure I'm in the mid 12's without any tuning changes. Car felt great, pulled like a freight train the entire 1/4. I'm happy for now!

High stall for first 3 seconds of run. Was playing with my launch RPM (1500-2000). It hooked and went. Didn't mess with the GV, left it off for now.

Alan, We have to find a scale at Cecil, Atco, or where ever. I don't believe your car is that heavy. Bob's car is unusually light though. Not sure exactly, but I believe he told me it weighed 3880 with him in it. I'm estimating my car's weight. It was 4110 with me in it- 60 lbs for the heads-40 lbs for the intake + 35 lbs for the Gear Vendors, -165 lbs for me= 3880 lbs

Swap the hood and wheels for steel ones and you'd be pretty close to what Alan says his weighs.

Maybe Doug, but I'd really like to weigh all our cars. Does Cecil have a scale? Bob Christo's car is very light for some reason. He doesn't know why.
