FINALLY AT THE TRACK !!!!

Made a long over due trip to Napierville Dragway Yesterday !!! The TV production crew wanted some track action for the TV show, so we made a day of it. We invited some of our customers restorations and they brought their cars and some were interviewed for the show.We invited Carl Rhychilk too, but he couldn't make it because of his truck being wrecked.There were enough BUICKS for the show and interviews, cars that ran were all running in the 11 second range, and the cars looked real good coming out of the hole.Can't wait and see what it looks like on film.First time we had the GSX out to the track in quite a while, and perhaps not since the shooting of the Edge of 17 JONAS video.But it ran well.One thing I noticed is that a lot of cars are really going faster these days!!! Our HEMI buddies were there too that we raced a few years ago and had a NHRA stock eliminator Challenger running well.We had a nice chat.They ain't so bitter about the race anymore LOL !!! I don't know how the TV crew is going to fit everyting into the pilot !! Hope they don't edit too much good stuff.
What a fun time, it was a good time was had by all.Life is good.

What TV show are you talking about? What will it be? A special? Weekly? Reality? Scripted?

And I must ask... why did he choose to record a Stevie Nicks tune? I'd like to see his style cover The James Gang's "Walk Away". Could be interesting. Their Live from Carnegi Hall album does a hard rock version of it that might lend them an idea or two.

Sorry, but I have been out of the loop and not keeping in contact myself.I didn't realise that folks didn't know what we were up to.I thought it was mentioned in the NE Chapter, News letter etc.., but I guess no one ever said anything there, about what has been happening ?? Been real busy with shop projects, booked solid for a year, and then music stuff, and Bro Duane building a recording studio.We all play music, and Duane's band had a gig for three days last week.Corey is not working in the shop now, and is playing full time with JONAS and has a GOLD record, and PLATINUM selling DVD that also includes the Edge of 17 BUICK VIDEO.His band toured with and opened for VAN HALEN in 12 cities in the U.S.A. on VAN HALEN'S last tour.JONAS new CD to be released on OCT 10 TH.Songs being played on the radio here already. The good news is that it should be released in the U.S.A. and get air play there too !!!
The TV crew has been coming here all summer and filming our shop and music projects. And will be here again next week filming the Stage 1 Conv project we have been working on, it is just going back on the frame, among many other projects we are doing.We are making sure the BUICK Stage 1 is
highlighted and given significant importance.After all it is a BUICK !!!
Yes we are taking pictures etc... and will make more info etc.. available when able to. I have to get permission from the production crew as to what I can use at the moment, and what details I can disclose about the show.What I really want to do it get permission to distribute the show on DVD when it is all said and done.Please be patient.I think the production crew is even talking about getting Duane's band to do the original music for the show.CAR MUSIC !!!
It's real exciting for us to have the chance to do this, and it is also great that Corey's record label and the production crew we are working with are enthusiastic about BUICKS. Things couldn't be going better for us right now.We use every chance we get, to put BUICKS in the picture, so that the cars are recognized for the great Muscle Machines they really are.
When we were at the track yesterday it was fun to see all the people taking note and seeing these nicely restored and strong running BUICKS getting all the attention by the film crew.Going WASSS UP with that ???
I was really surprised when we were at the track yesterday too, that our HEMI buddies that we raced in Round 3.Never even mentioned the latest adventure. I thought for sure they would bring it up.
Sorry to humbly focus attenion on ourselves, but I thought you all knew about this ? Well now you know what we have been up to. All is going very well.
At this point we will see what the TV shoot turns out.Maybe it will be only
worth 5 minutes of fame ? That's how the bidness works sometimes ?
If it does fly we will certainly be looking into including some more of our friends and clients in it.If that would be possible. Thanks for the interest and support !!

Corey and Jonas started out with a band called BLUES BLOODED and played all the stuff I am sure you are familiar with and like.There are Blues
based tracks on their CD'S too.The producers suggested the edge of 17 and
it is very popular and one of the tunes that sent their first CD to GOLD sales here in Canada. I hope they do another tour in the U.S. If and When they do I will TRY can get you on the guest list.Just to show our appreciation for taking interest in the band,you support, and checking out the video !!
