Jim is a nice guy from up in the Northeast and has many friends in the turbo Buick comunity. Jim has a reputation for talking smack, so people talk smack back to him -- it is all done in fun. He is also a frequent user of the internet/bulleting boards where he makes fun of his friends and they return fire in kind.

Jim was tooting his horn the other year that he was going to be a contender in Turbo Street Modified before his car was ever completed. On his maiden voyage with his turbo car he pulled quite the large wheelie. So, of course the "had to change your pants after that launch?" joke got (re-)started, blah, blah, blah.
