MOTEL INFORMATION

The Board of Directors are pleased to provide the following information about hotels in the Heath/Newark area for the 2007 BPG Buick Horsepower Nationals. There are a wide variety of hotels from which to choose. All are within 10-15 minutes of National Trail Raceway.

Hampton Inn - HOST MOTEL
1008 Hebron Road
Heath, OH 43056
740-788-8991
800-HAMPTON
800-426-7866
Use ‘BUI’ for ordering. Rate is $75 + taxes.
http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/h...tyhocn=NEHHHHX

This is the newest motel in the area. Situated in the center of the “strip” within walking distance of restaurants and shopping center. Additional trailer parking will be provided in the Kroger parking lot next to the motel. Security will be provided by the Hampton Inn for the vehicles parked in the Kroger and motel lots. NO PETS.

Quality Inn
733 Hebron Road
Heath, OH 43056
740-522-1165
1-877-424-6423
Rate is $65 + taxes.

This is an older “ex-Holiday Inn” with over 100 rooms. It has a courtyard layout with outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. A very short walk to the Cruise In. Sort of reminds you of a Holidome without the dome. Plenty of trailer parking on site. No additional security. PET FRIENDLY.

Holiday Inn Express
773 Hebron Road
Heath, OH 43056
740-522-0770
877-270-6397
No Rate Offered

This motel did not offer us a good group rate. Their advertised rates for August were over $100 but were willing to give us an $89 rate provided we guarantee purchase of 20 rooms. We did not put up the guarantee. The motel is adjacent to the Quality Inn. A short distance from the Cruise In. NO PETS.

Located about 1 mile from the center of Heath. We did not pursue getting a rate from the motel. PET FRIENDLY.

Best Western – Lakewood Inn
122 Arrowhead Blvd.
Hebron, OH 43025
(740) 928-1800
No Rates.

http://local.yahoo.com/details;_ylt=...cb=KcrUesezDK7

This is a 70 room motel located immediately off the I70 exit 129. New in 1999, they are in the process of switching from the Amerihost chain to the Best Western. Rates were not available. This motel is 7 miles from the Heath area.

Red Roof Inn
I-70 at Lancaster Road/SR 37, Exit #126
10668 Lancaster Road Southwest, Hebron, OH, United States, 43025
Phone: (740) 467-7663
No Rates.

http://www.redroof.com/reservations/...px?searchtype=

This motel is located at I-70 exit #126, the same exit as National Trail Raceway. The track is 2 miles from the motel and 10 miles from Heath. This is a truck stop motel located directly across from a TA truck stop. Exit #126 consists of truck stops and gas stations.

There are many other places to stay in the area. The following link will highlight those in the Newark/Heath area. We considered “The Place Off the Square” in Newark. It is in an attractive “town square” setting 3 miles from Heath owned by the Longaberger basket company. However, it is the only Hotel/Motel in the area. This is something to consider for 2008.

It is the intent of the BPG to give those attending as much information about the area as becomes available. The BPG is working with the Licking County Convention and Visitors Bureau to make your trip to National Trail Raceway as pleasant as possible. We have chosen Heath because of its convenience, location to the track, and services available. Stay tuned for more information.

Guys and Gals,

I just spoke with The Hampton Inn and they DO have rooms left. You MUST tell the clerk you are with the Buick Performance Group and use the code BUI in order to secure a room. Otherwise they will tell you the hotel is sold out. I don't know if someone there missed the message, but I did talk with our contact there just a few minutes ago and he assured me there were rooms available.

Thanks!

The same thing happened to me when I got my room. The girl on the phone said all the rooms were sold out. When I started quizzing her, she transferred me to someone else and then everything was fine.

I just got a call from the manager of the host hotel and he said that there are plenty of rooms still available. I did try to get reservations last night and was told that the hotel was booked, the girl couldn't figure how to make the reservation. You have to call the Hampton direct, the 800 number will not work.

Any way the manager is emailing my confirmation number, now we just hopr we can make it!!

Thats good to see you will be attending Paul..I hope everything is going ok for you and your family. I thought of stopping a couple times while I was driving by to the Hershey Lodge for contract negotiations. I was there over 10 times, but didn't know if you were home. I was going to stop in just to say Hi and see how you are doing..Hope you have a good time at The BPG event..Your family is in my prayers.

Thanks Pat, Dean has handled the treatments far better than expected. We are going to remain hopeful. If his health allows, he will be going with us to the picnic in the Spring (hint Yardley). We hesitated to make reservation but need this! The next time you are in Hershey, stop at the AACA library, just down the road from the motor lodge. I am there every day from 8 to 4. I hope all is well with you and Dustin.

Well we thought we had reservations, it's hard to say. Last night we call, and were told the hotel was booked. The girl took our information and said that some one would call us today if there were any rooms. Paul got a call this morning and was told that there were plenty of rooms and the conf. number would be emailed. When I got home from work I found that the res. dates were wrong. We want to arrive Thursday the 2nd and leave on Sunday, resv. were for Friday to Monday. Call the hotel and was told that the hotel is booked full for Thursday. I kinda find it hard to believe that there are no rooms for Thursday. Now we are waiting again for a phone call from the manager. IS ANY ONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM?

Call the motel direct. DO NOT CALL HAMPTON'S 800 NUMBER!

Hampton Inn Heath/Newark (OH)
1008 Hebron Rd
Heath, OH 43056
740-788-8991

If you have problems with the person that answers the phone, ask to be connected to "Ralph" (Nirav Patel is full name). He is director of sales at this motel and knows what's going on with our group. You will need the code "BUI" to make reservations.

If any of you still have problems, please let me know (PM, email or call 937-642-2026 days) and I'll try to correct things to the best of my ability.

Thanks!

Pat,
I am formally making this offer, in front of friends and family, that if you attend this event I will pay for one Steak dinner with ALL the trimmings. So now you know where at least one meal will be coming from. Looks like the trip is getting cheaper all the time.

PS. If you would join our group, you could also eat a lot earlier.

OUCH!!!

Well Bethie It took me 15 years to get myself on a timetable and now I have to follow through with my plan. It pains me selling off real nice parts from my 71,but in the end I am focusing on having a nice daily car a decent 73 driver and a fun racecar. I have been going too many years to Buick shows, functions and such Buickless, and now I am determined to get a car able to be driven and have fun alot more. I have chosen to not do any events this year and focus on getting ALL-PARTS running and maybe even get it to my local track..Have to be ready to kick the slop out of a certain BEIGEWagon now...lol. I appreciate the offers, but I need to put every effort into getting AP done and ready for a cool paint job this summer if fundage is around. I appreciate all the friends offers and that steak is tempting...
