Good thing the motor was coming out next week anyway. I was going to have the bearings checked and/or replaced. :BROW:
Listen closely when I come up the return road. :DOU:

Thanks for the congrats.. :TU:
It had oil pressure coming down the return road so I'm guessing it's just a rod bearing.. Bruno says he has a crank for me and I might just go for a new set of rods when I put it back together. :BEERS:
As for the brokeass riv? Some guys just keep going around and around without watching the gas gauge. :DOU:

Man, I was hot lapping it so much that I just ran out of gas before the traps in 3rd gear. Funny how far a car will coast from about 90 MPH. I made 12 runs and didn't do more because I had no desire to beat on it more than I already had.

Alan, ask Dave what parts were missing out of GS:LAUGH: I was being a pain in his arss on lighting up his car after he ran a few 12.0's as he was shooting for the 11's. He was pretty happy after that run.

Alan I have to say Dave did resist the thought but after running something like a 12.08 I kept badgering him. I looked at the ac compressor and told him if it's hooked up and working. Dave said it wasn't, but had some freon still in it. I told him, "Screw Al Gore and his ozone, empty that sucka and pitch the compressor." I also told him that being you can't run passengers, why does he still have extra seats in it:LAUGH:. Dave balked at taking the seats out. Then he ran a 12.01!
I was in the pits a few minutes later and a grinning Dave pulled up pointing in the interior of his GS....minus seats. He pulled to the lanes and soon after clicked off an 11.95.
I say, "Well done Dave" The guy worked for it and got it!:TU:

Might as well pull the motor along with changing the rear next week. :HI:
I guess all the machine shops will be quite busy this winter.

yeppers Rick...that would be the *ick.....he watched the video and counted....7 seconds to light the last yellow. With that being said though, I love the way my car pulled away in the video. Sorry about your car Dave, but congrats on joining the 11 second club!
