The show in Lake Isle was great today, little windy but it was a beautiful day otherwise. We took the GN and the GSX and they both placed in the Top 100 :YA:
The top 2 picks for club member's choice were also Buicks.
A 1953 Skylark and a 1937 Buick Coupe Custom
Here are a few pictures of the show

Thank you John

Do you know the 67 Skylark, or who the owner is?
It has a Big Block in it, real nice car, seen a few times but never see anyone with the car.

Yeah Louie, that car belongs to Peter Maples. He is from Portchester, N.Y. & is the service manager at Minchin Buich in Stamford, Ct. I see & talk & share lots of things with him on a fairly regular basis. The car is actually a '66 Special. I tried to talk Bob into getting this car from one of my customers some years back for $150.00. Then we could have made a REAL race car out of it instead of using his '66GS. Oh well.

Thanks Tom

The car sits pretty, and I never see anyone near it talk to :HI:
I would like to do a Buick in black and white like this

Yes, he did John
Okay with all the replicas of Police Cars out there, I think it's time to do one with a Buick, the City of Beacon NY, ran Buicks in the mid to late 60's. In the mid 50's we all remember Robert Crawford in Highway Patrol, a 55 Century or Roadmaster would be more fun. What do you guys think? :YA:

I have a friend who was a higher up in the Ca. Highway Patrol, CHP I think it was called. Anyways, it was from him that I got ideas from for my Riv. as he said they used '64 Rivs. as patrol cars then. His quote, "They were the fastest things on 4 wheels at the time, even able to out handle most cars of the day". End quote. He told me they would put 2 sways bars on the front of the cars & used metallic brake linings, of which he supplied me with a set of the "Velvet Touch Metallic Linings".

That be so nice to do a replica or better yet see if you can ask him if he remembers the details or has any pictures. :YA:

Sorry, I should have said HAD. He has passed for a few years now. Too bad, as he was, as well as a hellava guy, his vast knowledge of many things is now gone with him. I don't know how to do this searching thing too much but I will try to see what I can find out some of the details or better yet past pictures.
