This car was listed here by the previous owner about a year ago. This is a copy of the information he posted when he had it for sale:

"I have invested nearly 16000.00 in this project since last June and i dont want to put another dime into it. The car is being assembled in the body shop and then it will be ready to go.

the body was rust free with the exception of the floor pans which had rust holes due to the factory rubber floor matt. were painted off the car and the inside of the front fenders were painted semi gloss black. interior metal is the same color as the exterior metal which is Estate green metallic. The body is perfect as are all the panels and the paint has a very high gloss.. paint job was 9200.00 with 1800.00 of it in materials costs.

The car will be completely assembled with the exception of interior and glass. I have a new windshield but it should be installed after headliner is installed. bumpers are straight and excellent for rechrome. grill and headlight bezels and decent but should be redone for show quality. car comes with the original bench seat. I have shifter sticks for either front seat setup. I now have the correct very good condition Special tailights for the car, both sides and a spare or two. I also found NOS rear back up lights. I also have new parking light bezels, NOS. I have also added to this the headers for the 455 in this chassis from T/A performance and had them ceramic coated. I have also bought the complete exhaust system to go with the headers for the car from T/A performance. The exhaust is aluminized and mandrel bent. All new.

The level of detail and work on this project would make it a very nice car for show and go. i am guessing that it would take another 3K to finish it, maybe less depending on the person

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought the car for the original asking price he posted it for which was $9600. I had it transported from Montana to Ohio. I've since put all new door weather stripping on the car, window felting, new door handles, polished and re-installed the original door and trunk locks, trunk weather stripping. I've also had the front and rear bumpers straightened and chromed. The entire original grille was cleaned and the chrome was polished by hand, head light bezels and such in grille are also polished. 4 new halogen head light bulbs. Every part on the car for under the hood (battery tray, brackets etc.) we all painted and are ready to re-install. I bought new fuel lines from the new gas tank to the engine from Classis tubes in stainless steel. I also have a new radiator for the car.

The job that has been done so far on this car is absolutely top notch and perfect. I too have lost interest and am too busy with my shop/business to finish the car. I will regret selling it but that's how it goes. The car is located in Wakeman, Ohio.

Seriously, this car is absolutely freaking sweet. It just needs to be finished.

I have $16,000 in the project. I won't take a penny less. If you want to feel good about getting it at a better price then let's pretend I want to get $20,000 for it and you talked me down to $16,000:DOU:

Here is a link to another bulletin board where the car was documented being built.

http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/journal.php?action=view&journalid=27106&page=1&perpage=5&reverse=

I really can't stress enough how nice this car is. I just hope someone will finish it as nicely as it has been built so far.

I can be contacted at work at 440-839-1900 or by email at davidbuschur@buschurracing.com

Thank you.

I forgot something else yesterday. All of the trim for the windows and such have been sent out and look better than new. They were all straightened and polished, came out better than new.

Car looks great Dave, what is left to do on it? Does it run/drive?

I am suprised you ended up with it since I was before you in line to purchse it but Bob said he was going to keep it instead.

Did you pay the original price at $7000, or the second price of $9200?

Oh well, not trying to hijack your thread, and it isn't your issue either. Good luck and take care Tony

**7-23-08. UPDATE. I thought the car was sold and a guy from Washington backed out of the deal because of the shipping price of $1,000 in an enclosed carrier. Go figure. Anyway. I now have the correct very good condition Special tailights for the car, both sides and a spare or two. I also found NOS rear back up lights. I also have new parking light bezels, NOS. I have also added to this the headers for the 455 in this chassis from T/A performance and had them ceramic coated. I was going to finish the car after the buyer backed out of it a few months ago when I listed this and have once again decided not too.

Bob had decided to keep it and like me changed his mind again and decided to sell it.

I actually paid $9600 for the car and have added the long list of parts and such to it since I got it.

The car is still not put together. The things I have done/installed are listed in my above post. The rest of the new parts are all sitting in boxes and such waiting to be installed/finished.

I believe I have everything needed to finish the car now except for the seats/door panels being recovered. I could be missing a few things but if so they have to be small at this point. I have had some good luck finding some super nice NOS parts that I paid through the nose for like the back up lights, parking light bezels.

I would like to get all my money back out of the project at $16,000. I love the car, I'd love to finish, I don't think there is a nicer one anywhere honestly, it's that good. I just don't have the motivation to do it.

If I knew someone I trusted to finish it at the same level it is at right now, I'd just pay and have it done so I could keep it. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
