There are 350" projects out there ! It's just that some have chosen not to post to message boards. For a variaty of reasons. Trust me................. some parts have been broken in "testing". Gotta learn the hard way I guess. Well.............................. at least I do ! C-ya :HI:

It is a TA 413 cam ground on 110LSA. The extra overlap from the tighter lobe center helps create some of the lope at idle.

Or so I thought. This darn thing has fought me tooth and nail all year. I haven't made a pass yet... With a bit of luck, next weekend we will have 'er up and going. Just in time to put it away for winter...:TU:

I'm here off and on just about every day. I haven't worked on the drag car since before the Nationals. I guess I have just been slack. Hope to get back after it in October.

You guys hear that? The crickets are REALLY loud around here. I have nothing exciting to post because my car is dead.
Well, not dead, but rather disabled. No trans, no turbos, no exhaust. The trans is getting treated to some more frictions, a forward manual VB and possibly a transbrake to compliment my new 3800rpm 9" nitrous converter. I'm hoping I can build at least 5psi against the brake and pull some decent 60' times in the spring.
The only other time I went to the track the poor thing could only squirt off the line to the tune of 2.2's. My kid's wheelchair leaves harder than that.

I'm have started back on the drag car build in the last 2 weeks. We should be ready for first fire next week. Then next month we hope to get the cage installed.

theres nothing nicer than to leave the with a trans brake. the 350 loves the rpms all the way to 7500(sometimes more )
i am just putting around right now. waiting for pricing on some stuff.

Yeah! How's it run?
ss4825
11-21-2008, 08:37 AM
All we have done so far is let it run up to about 3000 rpm and about 140 degrees. It sounds great to me. Got the new shifter and the kiekey seat in yesterday. Going to bleed the new brake system today and hopefully pull it out of the garage. BTW is there such a thing as to much oil pressure? I'm running about 60 psi at 1000 rpm.
Here is a little info on the build:
1970 "SF" code 455
1970 Stg 1 heads rebuilt and Street/Strip ported by Greg Gessler
Standard Bore Hyperutetic 10-1 pistons purchased from the GSCA
Lunati hydraulic cam 230/240 @ .050 .496" lift w/1.55 ratio rockers
TA Performance SP-1 intake port matched by Greg Gessler
TSP Level 2 Turbo 400 with a 2800 stall converter
Moser 9" rear with a spool and 3:89 gears
BTW I bought the engine from a BPG member.
