How big are the turbos ? How much boost has this seen ? Why not use a proven hat ? Has that bov location been tested that close to the inlet ? How big is it ? What/who's wastegates are you using ?

The turbos are 50mm, T3/T4's. I've run 10psi by accident, 8psi regularly on purpose. I like to have the BOV close to the throttle blades to dump boost as soon as they are closed. I've also seen them mounted on an intercooler, right in the middle of the plumbing, etc. That's likely a can of worms discussion, so I went with what seemed to have the most technical merit to me. It is a 30mm, which may be too small for higher boost levels than the entry level 6psi kit. For more than that I would likely install one on each inlet pipe.
Why buy a $150-200 carb hat when I can make my own? I've been running mine for 2 years, so I consider it proven. It is tall, has the inlets high, and has a fairly gradual radius into the top of the carb. All the features one looks for in a performance hat.
The wastegates are 38mm Tial knockoffs.
