The race for the "BELT"!

The MidWest Mafia is holding a Buick bracket race:

Where:

Julesburg, Colorado

When:

September 20-21 (The race will be on the 20th)

Why:

Do you really need to ask?

This is an event for Buick racers, by Buick racers.

The winner gets to take home the "Belt", a fitting tribute to the past and present winners!

Let's try to make the other racers jealous:

We are hoping to get as many cars there as we can.

We will be racing for the belt on Saturday.

John is workng out the details on a King Street type race on Sunday for those of you that can stay.

We felt it may be more fun to race and then "bench race" the night away, and make it a bit more friendly for those that need to get back on Sunday.


In addition to the belt it is looking like the Buick GS club will put up $500 cash and perhaps some prizes.

We will be staying at the Platte Valley Inn, same as last year.

There will be a BBQ on Saturday night, a friend of mine is trying to get 25# of natural raised ground beef to help out(he works a ranch near Wiggins). We may take a collection to help defray costs.

As for the answer to your question, the event is open to All Buick's. We changed the rules a few years back, we allow club members to race with the Buicks, even if the dont have a Buick.....

The Belt can be won by a Buick powered Vette, or a Ford powered Regal or a Nail Head in a 40' Coupe.

We are looking for car count, and the frienship the Buick community brings to the track.

Just me but if you think the Ford or the Mopar will stay together better, do it....

With all the time you have in your BBB you may want to see if it will stay together....For a couple runs at Best....

We have fought over the crossbreeding I did for years now, as you and everyone around me knows my love for Buicks. I did sell out to go Fast.

So to all, please show up and have fun there will be plenty of Buicks to look at and admire. With mine being the only crossbreed Buick there. I am sure the rest of my cars and the guys I race with will support the
Buick Power we all love......
