Just got word the both Duane Heckman's 1971 GSX and Rich Garland's 1972 GS were judged and nominated for National Awards at the fall meet in Hershey. There are several awards that the cars can win including the Post War Buick awards that was won last year by James Weinman and a new award this year, Factory High Performance award.

National awards are the highest honorthat can be awarded from the AACA. Basically 5000 cars are judged throught the year, narrowed down to 200 that are asked to submit photos. The nationa Awards commitee meets in early December and about 44 cars are choosen. It truly is an honor to be considered.

Best of luck to both!!

Hey Guys,

I received one too. At least we aren't the Rodney Dangerfield's of the AACA world.

Well, the "Congratulations for being nominated, but you didn't make it this time around" letter came. Perhaps next year.
