I'm based in the UK where I have a 455 and TH400 which are going in my old Classic Range Rover.
I've been active over at V8 Buick for some years and have often seen referrences to the BPG but never knew what it was or what you do over here. So thought I'd drop in and get some good advice on my rebuild from you guys.
Looking forward to getting this beast on the road.

455 in a Range Rover? You're gonna need wheelie bars. :BEERS:

Mister T & Jamyers
Thanks for the welcome.
455 in a Rangie should make an interesting vehicle.
Basic spec is:
455 with +0.030" overbore
Forged TA pistons
Lunati 68002 cam
TA alloy heads
Possibly twin Eaton M112 blowers (subject to me passing a sanity check)
TH400 Switch Pitch
2.83 rear end (Range Rover transfer case is 1.192:1 so these rear end gears are equal to a 3.4 rear end)
Like I said, should be interesting.:YA:

I'd think I'd 'just' put the 455 in, then think about the blowers. Based on what my milder-than-yours 455 does in my not-small LeSabre, I'll bet you'll get quite a kick out of the N/A version.
Of course, I completely understand your thinking... :BROW:
btw, got any pics?
Yes as the other members have said, hello. I have read articles in my #2 sons jeep magazine where there're 455s in the yj type its sounds crazy but have fun man. Best to ya from the great white north. Later bake
