Well here's a Luxury Liner I just couldn't pass up.

Ever since I sold my AquaMist 1970 Duece I've been jonesing for another one but this time it had to be a drop top.
As luck might have it, a car that I've known of for a few years came up for sale and I just had to steal it out from under the owner.

1969 Buick Electra 225 Custom Convertible
Red with a Red interior Black Top
91,000 original miles
Originally a California car (w/paperwork)
#s matching rust free...straight as an arrow
Power everything with ice cold A/C.
Needs a real good detailing and it's ready to cruise.

*with one days work this is what it will look like......

Congrats on your score. After getting sniped on Bruce's car on e-bay, this is a nice rebound. Looks good. Call her the "Queen" Mary and you may get Dave to jump in

Is that what they're calling it these days????

Got any shots of it? What options does it have? Very cool ride. Always liked a deuce drop top.

Actually, Larry and I went and picked it up about 6:30 this evening.
This is a solid no rust car that has been cosmetically neglected by its owner.
Fortunately I think my timing was just right to bring it back to its former glory.
Top is good but needs a real good scrubing. Paint needs attention where the crud is around the emblems, and under the chrome. Then a good soapy wash followed by a complete cleaner/compound/waxing and this car will gleam. (did L/F fender tonite) WOW. All the chrome is in excellent condition, just needs a good cleaner and buffing. The interior is vertually flawless. No splits or rips, small crack on dash (easy fix). Everthing works on this car just as it should.

Mechanically this car is a gem. Pulled it out of the guys garage and went down the highway 65-70mph without a care. No noise, no smoke, just purred.
Of course the Wizzard will lay a "Super Tune-up" on it on Monday. He said he can make it run even better.

We took it to the Bellmore cruise and it got lots of play even though it was all dirty. Bruno even gave it his personal stamp of approval.

This baby will reside in the garage at the Hamptons house just so I can ride in style when I'm out there.

The car is numbers matching with the following options:

430 cu in BBB
Turbo 400
P/Steering
P/Brakes
P/Windows
P/Bench Seat w/fold down Armrest
Cruise Control
Tilt Wheel
Ice Cold A/C
Road Wheels
Dual Exhaust
L/R Remote Mirrors
Aftermarket Am/Fm w/CD
P/Antenna

I will take detailed photos when I have completed the makeover. I'm sure you'll all like it. I still can't believe I wound up with such a nice car so cheap.
I guess timing is everything! :BROW::BROW::BROW:

technically those were not options ... thats the only way it came in 69.

L/R Remote Mirrors

I look foward to seeing a right side remote mirror that is correct for 1969 - I have never found anything to suggest such a beast exists but Dave thinks otherwise[/QUOTE]
