Hello , first post here :) but found a ton of useful info.

Anyways im gonna be redoing my 75 skylark S/R , it has a 350 and stock 4bbl,3pd auto(dont kno which one). Im looking for best prices on a few parts, mainly cam, rebuild kit and a shiftkit.
Any direction would be awesome.

Im nowhere near knowing it all but i kno enuff to get by and i learn as i go -_-

Any other things i should do or anything like that would be great aswell.

Thanks , Mike

mike,

depends on how much you got and how fast you want to go .

if your s/r is a hatchback, hang onto it. not many made.

tell us where you like to be on your build up. mild to outright crazy.

externally, headers and intake will absorb the 600. internally, may be able to find a good used cam to even wake it up some more. this makes a nice normal(?) car.
if you peruse some of the other threads, you will find some un-normal stuff . lol.

You should have a th350 trans, but look at the pan and compare it to pics online of the th350 trans...

Your best spent $600 for be have an experienced Quadrajet rebuilder rebuild your stock carb or buy an e bay Buick 350 carb, new spark plugs, gap plugs to spec., new plug wires, new distributer cap, new rotor, coil, air cleaner, fuel filter, timing light to set timing. These are the most important things to do BEFORE tearing things appart o bolt on some power.... You need it running right first, and then change one thing at a time...

After the above, for for a 2.5 dual exhaust and if you have extra go with headers if not the duals will still help!

Then cam, a TA212 cam is great for stock type engines... the stock intake is fine since the alum intakes will not net you much gain for our $...

locker or possi unit in the rear end, powertrax is cheep way to get a locker without setting up the whole rear end...

next a shift kit in the trans and a 2500 stall converter to let the cam get into its power off the line.

Go to the smallblock section in the V8Buick site for more advice:YA:
