2010 Race Classes and Rules

will there be a heads up quick 8 race this year at bpg?
i saw a list of classes and did not see the quick 8:BLAST:
also will you recognise the number 1 qualifer this year with a trophy are money,or for that matter anything?:RE:
i am a member of the bpg and was very disappointed that there was no kind of appreciation for the fastest car at the event.:confused4:
i would like to bring my buick to bpg this year but only if you guys will appreciate it as it cost alot of money to race these kind of cars.they are a dying breed,but people love to see the fast cars run don't you think.:YA:
i love all types of buicks so don.t you guys think that i'm talking down to anyone but the directors of this event.

Bobby thanks for asking! After the last two years of very low participation, the class has been tabled until we can figure out something new to do to bring more fast cars into it. We do appreciate the fast cars and want to make sure that those drivers are rewarded properly with the payouts and in every other way. Until we can figure out HOW to do that, and keep it "heads up", our hands are tied. People want to see a Super 8 with 8 super fast cars not just one or two cars blowing by everyone else!

As far as paying out for "the fastest car" with a trophy or money, as long as we can find a sponsor, we will do so. Money is tight with everyone, including sponsors, and we are doing the best we can with what we have to work with.

Hopefully, you will still bring your car and run the Q16. It's always exciting to see super fast cars run!

thanks for respomding renee,i would bring my car and race quick 16. if you make it fair for everyone and make the cars with the little black boxes turn them off !!!!!!!!

Bobby, your generosity is greatly appreciated! Again, our hands are tied with the delay boxes, but that's something that we can look into changing up next year....along with other things! You know though, the box doesn't win a race...the driver does! Box or no box, you still have to be able to react to the tree. I'm pretty sure that there are only a handful of our Q16 racers that actually use a delay box. I know there are some that don't. C'mon down, bring your car and have some good ole fashion fun! Show those "box boys/girls" that you can beat em...box or no box!

Hey Bobbi Don what happened to the quick 8 - I love it!! I would not drag my car from Dayton to Columbus, let alone towing it as far as you are. Our cars cost too much money to race for no money!! Watched you leave Norwalk, car broke...or did they p___ you off? It's kinda like G.S.C.A...expect everybody to show up with high dollar cars and not pay any money. That's what spectators show up for.

Reason for no Q-8 this years is because there are not 8 quick cars...last year I believe there were 3.... as far as payouts...call the guys you buy parts from....to pony up some cash...you have any idea how much it costs just to put on an event not including the payouts.....glad to see you joined today to make this post...you sound like an upstanding gentleman.... you can always run for a BOD position and become a paid member then you to can have a say in how the event is run...
