Hi guys, I am new to the site but I have owned many Buicks over the years. (I posted this in the general forum and then found this forum that looks more appropriate). I just pulled the engine out of a '69 LeSabre parts car, and it is going into my '69 LeSabre 'vert. I know it is a 350, but funny things can happen in 40 years, so this may not be the original engine to the car. The engine ID # on the top rear of the block is 382201-L. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

if your looking for originality number, cant help. if it oils thru the rockers/head instead of the pushrods, probably 68-9. newer ones oil thru pushrods. the newer the block the better it is for performance. built right, you can push them to 7500rpm w/o big $$$

Thanks for the info. My Big B isn't really a 7500 rpm kinda ride; it's either low and slow around town or flaps down and flying low on the interstate. That said, I've got a smog-era 350 stuck under the bench that I may find a home for one of these days. Good to know it's got some potential.
