I wish I could go this year but I'm unable to. I'm definately shooting for next year as well as BPG.

We will have a space there and a couple of our guys will be there, but I can't this year...a little health issue to take care of. Lake Speed, with Joe Gibbs Motor Oil, will be at our space to present a program on new motor oils and what they contain. He will be there Friday at about 10:30. This is a very iformative presentation with a question and answer session afterwards. Great for racers, show car guys and enthusiasts. Hope everyone has a great time and enjoy the info.

I MIGHT have to go just to make it #31.I guess I'm the old young guy or the young old guy?
Drove my cars down and raced every year when there was racing. Only one trip down in a Brand X car. Drove the same car home I was racing 30 times and had to be towed only once (Thanks to the NE crew. Good fun on that return!) although some of the drives home were not without their trials.
I guess I'll have to get going on getting an engine in the car for Cecil and BG.

I remember one year at the old holidome, where I think you were replacing a piston on a '78-'79 Black Regal, might even have a picture of it somewhere. There used to be LOTS of repairs going on in that parking lot! I've had the intake and heads off mine a few times there also.

John, I have replaced a rod bearing down there on my '65, which I drove down, but even I held the line on a piston. I did take a big chunk out of one of the factory cast pistons in my 455 Regal that year when I hit the nitrous. Later I found out my electric fuel pump was shot and it went way lean. After that it kept causing a miss when the pieces would break off and wack the spark plug. Changed the plug a few times down there until all the pieces broke off. Only had to do it once on the way home. Got it home, replaced piston, and good to go. Ahhh, the good times!

I just want to thank everybody for helping me at this event; My cuz Vinny C ,John C, John M, Paul, Rob and Ray. Each run I was getting faster with the help. Some gave me drag racing tips, some gave me advice on my set up. Some even gave me parts to make my car run better! Oh yeah some gave me "dial in" times advice but we won't get into that!! Just kidding.. Thanks again everybody..
Hey, the car looks very nice. Glad to see you getting it out and running good. I know I sure had a great week>
Keep at it. It doesn't take all that much seat time before you'll feel comfortable.
