Transmission id?

Hey, I have a couple of standard trans cases that I got from a relative. He told me they are 3 speeds from the late 50-early 70's. The main part kind of looks like my 4 speed muncie, except the are cast iron. Any ideas as to what kind they could be and if they're worth anything other than scrap? I can post some pic's if that'll help.

Hey Roberta! Doing good. I still have the same car, though I've not had it out much! How have you been? Looks like 3 cases (2 longer and 1 shorter) and 2 short tailshafts and 1 longer one. Also a couple of sidecovers

OK, they appear to be cast iron saginaw 3 speed cases.

at least one of them looks like the 3 speed saggi case i have on my bench right now what number of grooves does the main shaft have around it? the other is significantly different, I am willing to bet that the biggest of both is the standard from the 70's, looks the same as I have, a 3 speed saggi with the big 3 ratio ( three spline main shaft). the case with the smaller shifter linkage plate hole could possibly be older but I am not sure as to what it may be. those tailshaft housings are useable with a turbo 350 crossmember depending on the useage of main case and chassis style. the easiest way to tell what ratio is to look at the input shaft usually there are grooves around it no groove is the smallest available ration and three groove the biggest. if you have the internals of course, also ceratin ratios teeth count on the gear clusters were different but i don't remeber the counts.
