ANOTHER 350 PROJECT

thanks to john everett, it was delivered last night. it's nice. have to check it all over and see what i need to fix or change and then on to the fun. we are going to start small, aka v6 we have, just to get use to everything and then the 350. all while i'm building another 350 which will takes back to square one.

the definition of owning a boat is "break out another thousand". it will be the same.

i sat in it today to see how it feels. nice and snug. i know the whoa and go pedals will have to be move. previous owner must have had small feet. lol
i was looking around last night for sbc zoomie headers. starting at $700 and up. yikes! i will be making my own for a lot cheaper.

How about some Kenne Bell pulse divider headers? 3 in collector and 2in primarys

never got my christmas wish from t/a for 4 junk v6 alum heads and you know i would make them work somehow.

Yep, I know that for sure, even if it took 1000 batcave hours! You never know, MAYBE they will show up one day soon.

Looks like a nice project,John!! When you were showing me the pictures and the paperwork at the Christmas party,I knew it wasn't going to be cheap but what isn't nowadays. Should be really interesting what this combo should equate to,maybe mid to low 8's? I'm sure you'll keep us posted on your rails' progress. Best of luck,John.

the biggest initial cost will be the personal safety items. for this year i have been surfing the net for all sorts of stuff and answers. i think i can get the car going for under a grand this year not counting the safety items. but next year when i go to the twin engine setup....OUCH. maybe i can hit a few lotto's.

You're right about that John-A lot of people don't realize how expensive safety items are but they are very essential especially when building a race car. I'm glad to hear that it's only going to cost a thousand dollars to get that car going at this point(at least you'll have it running and be able to get your ride time and your certification). By next year,you'll be graduating to the big leagues(just think,how many people run twin engines in their cars?!!) Well as you know,anything having to do with automobiles isn't cheap and it's an expensive hobby. We can only hope we hit the daily numbers!!!
