Oh, you mean there was a year where you didn't win the event? Poor baby!

To bad you are not a current Northeast GS/GN member because I could probably look back through some back issues of our newsletter and find the results.![]()
I remember i lost to another 69 from up north that was a street racer as well in the semi or quarters i think and with a .497 red light on a .500 tree back then.
Maybe Mike Modena, in the Junk Yard Screamer, his blue 69

If 1997 was the first year for the Buicks at Bristol, Tony won Q-16 and I think you went 2 rounds.
That was the year if you lost the first round ,you could buy back in, what a mess !!
Hope to see you out racing this summer.

Jim Haas are you there? Help....our memories are fading.....you must have a listing of all the results year by year.....how many years was it run?
THANKS!
Bruce
Actually Bill, I think Jim had it set up as Q-32 every year. Bruce, you couldn't have raced a Pontiac the first year because it was Buicks only. In later years it morphed into BOP at Bristol. 97 was the first year for the event. 98 was the year the track was closed all year for rebuilding. 99 may have been the first year it was BOP.

Doug, your memory is better than mine. I guess I drank more beers per pound than you, thus the worse memory.
I just found a gift certificate I won at Norwalk good for the 1999 Buicks at Bristol event....and forgot to use.![]()
Call Jim Haas & maybe he will give you something for it![]()
Yeah....a kick in the a$$......
