I bought a 1972 buick custom convertible last month, I have been going through some of the things that needed addressed. One being a rocker arm tick on the left side of the engine that was suppost to be rebuilt. I pulled the valve cover and found adjustable push rods and two rocker arms loose which I adjusted by lengthening the push rods. I was surprized by how little oil was oiling the rockers. I read somwhere the front cam bearing can cause oil starvation on the left bank of the engine. I have not pulled the right side yet to compare the two sides. Did this engine come with adjustable push rods or is this a bandaid somone used to cover their mistake?
