Who was the owner of this car? I meant to look at the timing for him as he complained it had no performance. Never got around to it, and wished I had. It was a 72 GS455, completely stock survivor car. The stock distributor in these cars was the 1112110, and it had a maximum mechanical advance of between 14 and 18*, so if you set the initial timing to 4*BTDC like the sticker said, it had between 18 and 22* total timing at WOT. All you need to do is set the total to 32*, and watch that car wake right up.

That 72 GS 455 belongs to Shawn Stemple out of the Northern Ohio, Cleveland area. Met him on Friday and looked at the car. Was a very original 72 GS. Brad Conley & Sid Meyer looked at it on Saturday at Shaw's request. Shawn is on the BPG site on Facebook. I'm sure he would like some advice to wake it up.

I've only seen him on Facebook. He sent me a friend request last week which I confirmed. I'll send him a message on Facebook to check out v8buick & the BPG website. I'll let him know you have some advice for him.

Thanks Joy, I'm talking to him on Facebook. Not sure he will have the tools to do what I am asking him to do, but maybe someone can help.

That must have been the only car you and Jason didn't use my timing kit on
