70 Door Latches ????

Are 4 door latches the same as 2 door ones? I have a 4 door and the latches are good .......anyone know?? It would seem to be they are the same but I didnt want to pull them if they are not. I know in 71-2 they auto lock without pushin in on the button.

I removed a latch from a 70 cutlass 4dr lf door and installed it in a 70 chevelle worked fine.
