'68 Skylark For Sale 455 installed

68 Skylark, 455 in it, is primer/black bench interior, was red. Qtrs have been repaired. Runs, exhaust sounds great, but has some problems.

Yes, that is a 69 hood on there! Original hood is available!
Deck lid is from the 69 too. I have the car these items came from (69 GS350)

I'll get it out and take some pics. I bought with intention of selling, and have not really run it enough to know all the problems, but here are my observations.
It has a stock looking engine- has GM electronic ignition, with the coil built in.
So it may be a later model engine, I have to get the ##s. When it starts, the starter squeals a bit- no cover over the torque converter and may need a spacer for the starter. It does rev up and has power but @ lower rpm's it misses. I think it is hooked to the th350 trannie. I can put it on a lift and get pics of that too.
I would say the main problem to me is it is partially dissassembled and it needs to be painted.
I saw a sign near Somerset KY- any car painted for $350! Cool!

I have a rechromed rear bumper, front bumper, "fixable" grill, new carpet,headliner and glove box, most all Skylark trim, vinyl roof trim too. I think its all there. Thanks, Ted

OK, now you have my interest in your car how about answering a few questions about it so I can get a better Idea what your selling...

1.What shape is the interior in?

2.Are the seats ripped? Springs Broken? Backs broken?Foam shot?

3.Was the car ever submerged under water? (like in New Orleans during the Hurricane or some other mishap like that?)

4.How many Miles on car?

5.Is the glass all there and unbroken?

6.Do the brakes function correctly?

7.Are the floor boards rusted out?

8.Is there any rusted out spots in the trunk?

9.Do any of the window Seals leak?

10.Are the door hinges worn and need replacing?

11a.Are the ball joints, Shocks, Springs,Steering links in good shape?

11b.Is the frame in good condition and not rusted out and or bent?

12.Is it a floor shift with a console or a column shifter?

13.Do the Lights all work and is there any shorts in the wiring harness?

14.What parts have to be replaced to restore her to a 99 point car?

Well, this was painted, sold, the new owner coverted it to a 4-speed bucket seat car and now he has sold it! Can you say Long Gone? Cheers!
