Dee, Annie Since no one else is enough of a gentelman (or old and married) I think we might find you Southern Ladies a ride to A&W. Us (we) Damn Yankees are a good bunch Pictures in the lot later with some buicks ladies ? Thank god, someone finally has some sense and believes that not everyone is staying at the Red Roof or knows where the Red Roof is, or wants to get directions to the Red Roof to be able to use more directions to find the A&W.

Thanks Duane! Unfortunately, this thread (and some others) have peeved me off just enough that I will probably find something else to do on Thursday night. And, I'm no prude, but the general attitude around here lately has been a bit disturbing, even to me - I don't think I'll be back here for a while.

Am I being a bit B*tchy? Yeah, maybe - but if it's like pulling teeth to get a simple answer about CLUB activities (even when I have a membership!) it just makes one think whether it's worth the hassle?

Don't worry about "finding" places when in Salem, it is all very easy to find once you get there!! The A&W has a cruise night that they dedicate to us Buick folks on Thursday and it is easy to find. If you are at the track on Thursday just ask and you will get good directions to it. I pass it on the way to the track and on the way back to the hotel. No one is being rude to you that I can tell, but once you get to Salem it will all become evident where to go. As someone else has mentioned, just follow the Buicks!!

F.Y.I. - I have been to Salem the last two years and going again this year but I have never been to the A&W, I always go by it but I have never stopped in with my car.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Salem in a few weeks!!!

You shouldn't worry about finding anything while in town. Everyone gets together at the track, and you will have more than enough information to do anything you would like to do. We really do have a blast in Salem, and yes we are nuts Here is the map. 224 is the main road. The Wed Woof is at the arrow, the track is to the left and circled. We normally take 224 to 11, then 165 to the track. The A&W is on 224 close to 11. You are gonna have a great time, we all do. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional

Paul, thanks for the info. I have been to Salem the past 2 years as well. I have never stayed on "the main drag", at the Red Roof, or even seen the A&W or Red Roof. So the answer to my question "where is the A&W?" being "drive around until you find it" or "you'll see it on your way to the hotel" - that doesn't really help me. You see? I'm not staying at the Red Roof this year either. I asked a simple question and it wasn't answered without some begging! Why does it require that? To get an answer to a simple question? Not to mention, I won't be there in time to go to the track - so I can't ask there.

Phil, thanks for the offer for a ride. But IF I get to Salem, I'll have my own car, no need to tag along. And thanks for not calling us "girls". I outgrew that designation 20+ years ago.

Yikes Annie...

I meant no disrespect by "follow the Buicks"... but that is the easiest way to get around if you don't know how to get to either the track, A&W, or a resturant. Also since we don't know which hotel you are staying at in Youngstown... how are we to tell you which way to go?

At the 1st BPG Nats we had to follow a Riv everywhere so as to not get lost.

Being that I'm currently "in between" jobs again, I will probably be there all day every day. I'll be at the track, hopefully with my car, or you can find me half sloshed in a parking lot with a big ole pitcher of slushies! ps...this is usually where you can find a couple other people too! See you all there....somewhere!

By the way....A&W is on St. Rt. 224 which is the same as Boardman Canfield Rd and its the main drag through Boardman.

A&W is a couple miles West of 680 on 224. It will be on the right when coming from 680.

Look for me because I'm going to try to find someone and something (slushies?) to get sloshed with. Plus I'll need some directions around town too.
