got the torch home. i hate heavy things. will be burning up the gas tomorrow nite. hopefully its works.

i screwed up by buying a piece of flat stock for the carb base. i have an issue with the press reg due to no place to hang it. then i was on jegs or summit and i noticed they sell a plate that does it all. nice neat package. might buy it just to keep it simple for everyone if you wanted to reproduce it. only $100. will spending money ever stop??

has anybody bought a mopar intake yet? let me know before you buy. cause thet are not all alike to do what i have done so far.

BTW,

now that we are over here, i want some input from you guys. good or bad, anything or everything. lets talk about all the aspects of the 350 and how to make it go. dont care if its paint, chrome bolts, something, anything, tease each other, i dont care.

i have a lot of ideas, asked burns.i will throw some out there and they will be out there. but dont let me be the one to write all the time.

lol I guess I am guilty of the same thing. My poor old 73 was just put back in the barn where its been for the last 8-9 years. As soon as I get this 70 car driveable its up next. I miss the 4 speed...

OH PLEASEEEEEE. You were telling me on the phone about running at one of those no altitude east coast tracks back in "the day". Go ahead and feed some info to him.

If its 73 motor info, ain't much info different than any other 350" their all pretty much the same. Other than the later cap screw rods, you want them. I think they are really under estimated. As I recall, they can make 500 in a N/A setup. In a boosted application, thats a different story. And I Bill could tell us about that if he happens to see this.

Oh and John, as to your ideas for a 350", I am fixin' to start up with the roller rocker experimenting again. Winters coming, may as well fire up some more outa the box thinking. I will post that info here for all to see. I am pursuing a different route for roller rockers for us. John or anyone else that wants to chime in, what material size are ya thinking for the shafts ? I haven't looked into this at all yet. Open to opinions here.............

Ugly but functional I'm hoping. Looks like you may have picked a winner John.
The runners look to be very, very close. This should work.
The weight is probably closer to the stage 1 than you think. Must be those rubber hoses adding all the extra weight.
Will you be testing it in a car before Cecil? Maybe I should pack the Tig setup just in case.

first test will be at cecil. hoping all goes well putting it together.

jb weld and i screwed it from the head side. i have tighten and retighten on the dummy engine. i see no issues yet.

i have to make up some holding fixtures to machine to match the buick ports closer. but this will do. the new edelbrock victor should be close to the mopar P4452893(2 are ebay now). and i still have a P4532598AB race intake. add about 3" to the height. i am running out of hood scoop
i did send an email to edelbrock about buying semi-finished victors. no reply yet. it amazing they are that close. if they figured in some more shrinkage they could sell adapter plates to use the victor.

query..rockers are 1.55, t/a sells 1.6. i have looked at 1.7's, but i'm thinking 1.65 pontiacs would be real nice ratio on a race engine.....whadda think ??

I finally got on this web site. You are doing a really good job. If the intake works good do you think it could be sent to edelbrok or somone to make a mold? They then could cast intkes from the mold. You have a good strting point.

i did send edlbrk an email. no reply yet. with some fudging, their new victor 2815 would fit on the 350. IT'S THAT CLOSE. and they can leave the mopar stat housing on there.

send edlbrk an email saying how close they are to making it fit a 350 buick.

where is everybody else.....
