That pic isn't even a real functional engine. Chevy block and heads, ford tunnel ram, elec. water pump held on with two bolts, cog drive parts bolted to whatever would take them. Looks really impressive from 20 feet though.

The 1.65 rollers or even regular rockers are doable if you take into account the extra 10% lift. Have to watch for coil bind and have to fab a tall set of valve covers. You can really take advantage of some normal cam grinds with the extra lift.
We used the T/A 1.65's on the mighty mouse.

COOL nice to finally see some pictures. can't wait to hear how it works. I just discovered this thread over here and it took a few minutes to read it all and get caught up. Could this new E-brock intake work as is with adapter plates and a little port work??? i am still buried deep in kitchen remodel so i don't even have a 350 apart and on the engine stand . this winter i hope to atleast have it tore down and start collecting parts. I anxiously await any and all updates. oh and, 1.65 rocker ratio sounds about right a good balance 1.7 would be nice if we had a race type cylender head ya don't need asmuch lobe lift and your not moving a heavy lifter as far but i don't think theres room in the head for 1.7 . i'm no expert though. PEACE

i came over here. too many ego's on the other side.

the victor is basically the same as the m1 mopar. adapter plates are needed. the reason the vic and m1 are good is because you can reuse the stat hsng

i really like the idea of 1.65 rockers.

wish t/a had some junk alum v6 heads so i can see if i can make a 350 head.

you won't be epoxying a head together LOL. and yes way to many ego's over there. circle track guys cut and weld heads to create odd ball stuff all the time so it should be doable

2 things;

tomorrow is a rain out for the valley trip with the old setup. get to start a little sooner with the new setup. . but it will not be w/out a lot of cussing..

well......tonite was arghhhhhh.

took off the old stuff. got the valley pan in, thats good. put on the new intake. not so good. between the dummy block and the race block, the bolt holes are giving me problems. no wonder why buick made them so big. will open them up tomorrow.
the good stuff. pedal linkage is good. bypass hose, good. upper hose, need something longer or use a vulcoflex. fuel line setup is good. hood scoop may be an issue because we are 3" taller.
other than the stupid holes, hopefully we can get it started tomorrow or sunday.

but it does look damn good

back at the bat cave..........

cleaned up the mounting holes on the intake. pain in the ass. had to get a bunch of little stuff to complete this. only need return springs, fitting for press reg gauge, water and change the oil/filter. we will start it up tomorrow.
