Sounds like an assumption to me.... I have been wiring and plumbing... Not to much longer and you will hear the roar of the 350 in Texas.....from what we gather....YOU have been slacking off....

heres a dilemma for ya.
lost a filling this morning, went to the dentist said root canal and cap or pull it for a post and fake tooth or just pull it out. well, its only $15-1800 for said work.
soooo, i ask doc, " how come insurance doesnt pay for dental or mental, but they will pay for assholes" ? he just started laughing............![]()

mike,
i only used 1 stick. tried and tried. it didnt work for this application.
i pulled the 'glued' intake off. pretty damn solid. was going to use gasket for stat but i will glue it instead. will put pins/screws when dried.
when you cut the manifold all apart, its pretty light. put it back together, it got heavy all of a sudden. must be the glue...
be back later

meanwhile back at the garage..i have tomorrow off. will be recutting the car top. it is out of flat about .015. not bad considering everything thats been cut and moved around. pin the intake to the plates and then glue the stat housing. finish up the top carb plate and i will ready to go. carb i ordered wont be here till next week. a week late. so i have a lot to do for cecil in a short time.
btw, edelbrock has come out with a new sbm intake called 'super victor'. pic of it in nov hot rod pg 144. that would/should work because of the stat housing can/should be reusable. port size is almost ported buick size plus extra material on ports. dont know how tall it is. but it is useable.
i think i might build another intake......![]()

I thought it might hold better than a filling or cap anyways..... filing on it might hurt a bit anyways! Do you have some Jack laying around for an anesthetic?Originally Posted by gsjohnny

bat cave news...
did the carb plate, ported out the intake ports. not a great job but close enough to see if this mess works. so its done for now. new carb will be here next week. hate the wait.
we go to lebanon valley next friday. john wants race there with the current setup. then we will be putting this monster together for cecil.![]()
