Hey, does anyone have a clue as to what the SRS package is that came on a 2000 Escort?? I came across one for sale. The only think I can find on it that is different is an air intake and a muffler similar to a fart can like on the ricers, just not as big and loud. It all appears to be stock on the car. Does anyone know if that is the only difference or is there something special about the SRS package?

That would be it. It says SRS on the dash of the car. I noticed that it says S/R on the back of the car. Well, it looks like I'm the owner of one of the 500 black ones made in 2000. Ya know, no where on that car does it say to use premium fuel. I could do without the fart can but since it came stock I'll leave it. At least it's not as loud as the ricers where it sounds like a giant bumble bee chasing you.

there's a guy down here that has a 02 or 03 ZX2 S/R that he uses for autocross events, he basically took a stock S/R and added some bolt on's for less than 2k including wheels and tires, and went racing, he gives the other class racers fit's... REAL sleeper, very impressive for cheap $$$$
