Took the 86 GS out for a spin today and noticed it was getting up there in the temperature range. So,I beat feet back and shut it down. I noticed the electric fan wasn't kicked on and thought that was strange. I took the radiator cap off and restarted. As soon as it got warm again it blew antifreeze all over. It shot up in a huge stream. I checked the oil and see no frothy foamy stuff, but when it starts up,It shoots all the fluid out of the radiator. I guess I know why the original temp gauge needle was missing now. And why the new radiator and water pump too. Looks like I'll be pulling it sooner than I thought to refreshen it up. And I was considering bringing it to Yardleys...Lucky I decided not to.I guess with 166,000 miles its due.![]()
