Here's the short story. I found this car probably close to 10 years ago at the Good Guys show in Indy. Never saw one before, was blown away with how good it looked. I bought it.
I had the car stripped and painted. It had very little rust on it. It was repainted and is just beautiful. The only problem we had was at the time we didn't think we could find a rear window so it was not removed. The car had a little rust at the bottom of the window and it has come back through slightly. Now I know we can get a window, it could be taken out and fixed permanently. I will post pictures of the car and this spot if anyone is actually interested in the car.
The car was bought from an estate with 62,000 original miles on it. Two door sedan (post car). Interior is excellent condition. Drives perfectly. Drum brakes all the way around with new shoes. Power steering. I installed a power brake booster/master. Car has 16" Torque Thrust wheels and BFG tires on it. I've gotten 17 mpg evertime I've driven it on the highway.
Engine is an original 401, was rated at 410 ft lbs. When I bought it the car had green steel valve covers, cast intake and a 2 barrel carb. I found an original uncracked set of the aluminum Buick valve cover, an original 4 barrell intake and carburator for it.
The engine has also been repainted and was taken out of the car to do it. Inner fender wells and such are all repainted too.
What's wrong with the car? Well the small spot near the lower rear window, I had to cut the factory windshield washer bottle to clear the power brake booster, so it won't hold water but installed in the car it looks correct. The trans also has a small SMALL leak.
I rarely drive the car and have decided to sell off 4 of the cars I own. This one I feel will be one of the easiest as it is so freaking nice and it is pretty rare. I have never seen another like it actually.
The trans is the 2 speed automatic. I also installed front and rear seat belts in the car, aftermarket. The car did not originally have any and I use to drive it with the wife and kids in it. The seat belt are black. Interior is a "tanish/green" color. No rips in any of the seats. Carpet has a little wear but not torn. I also installed an open element air filter on the car.
The car has new exhaust from the manifolds back. After the y pipe I build a single 3" exhaust for the car and ran it out the back like the original exhaust was. Flowmaster muffler. Sounds quiet but very nice, fitting to the car. The exhaust from the y pipe back is 3" mandrel bent SS. I build exhausts and such for a living. It is all TIG welded where it is stainless.
All the chrome is perfect.
Anyway, this is a really really nice Buick. You can drive it anywhere as it runs perfectly.
$11,500 is what I am asking.
PM me or call if you are interested. I can be reached at work at 440-839-1900.
I will wipe the car off tomorrow and post pictures of the interior, engine, exterior.
Thanks.
