The Hurst aluminum T handle is to cool / cold. Like holding onto a block of ice. Gonna hafta re-think that one. I did some quick searching but didn't find anything.
No one makes a nice leather one or other that isn't so fridged?

I use the plastic Hurst T handles on both my GS's. They are not as cold, and just feel better. I find the plastic T handle easiest to control. I have a black one on the STAGE 1, and a white one on the 350 car. They are hard to find, and very expensive when found on ebay. I paid dearly for an nos black one. I am contemplating making one of walnut or some other such wood, just to see what it would be like.
Edit: I just noticed this is in the automatic transmssion forum. What I posted is for four speed Muncie's.

Ask me about Buick restoration shops before you hire one.

Yea I thought wood would be neat also. Probably sell pretty good if the plastic is so hard to find.

Mine have the four speed shift pattern engraved on top of the handle. I dont recall what size threads it has. If I make any wooden ones it will be all hand work, and I would probably just make one.

Holey smokes, that Hurst T-Handle shifter went for $51 + shipping.
Found a wood one with the nice finger groves but its only a top cover.

I put a Hurst alum t handle in my 73 Nova SS back in the early 80's, drove it year round for a few years. Gloves were mandatory 6 months out of the year... I really liked it with the Muncie 4spd I'd swapped in place of the OEM 3spd stick. Heck, I'd even consider putting one in my 98 Riviera if there was a compatible design. Maybe.

I'm not a glove guy, kinda like wearing work boots in the car. I lose input feeling.
For a temp fix I made a keychain holder for it. I can spin it off and take it with me and keep it with my keys.
Cause id be real pissed if I forgot it, if I just carried it around seprate.
Also kinda of a anti theft device. Working the shifter would be hard with no knob with all the push down n pull up for different gears.
I could get the B&M plastice one for like $15 shipped but that don't seem right. Id rather have a no name one.
