if you look view from top, see how different the runners line up with plenum. certainly different from others.

John,I wish this thread was up when I started looking around.If I ever try the single plane manifold, I have a chevy Vortec Victor Jr. that I may have to use.The tall port and the proximity of the runners in relation to the Buick is excellent.As you know there's a gap to be made but I think that it'll work.Some straightening of the Vortec runners is needed too,but not much.

got a new style chevy intake. it takes 3'' of spacer to make it work. that thing will sit in the pile for a long time unless somebody really really wants it. yuck
