Does any one care about this event

this is a chance to shine heads above the rest,,we need to start talking this up,,,change your signatures on the other boards to promote this event...
I have been guaranteed by www.Turbobuicks.com and www.turbobuick.com and www.T6P.com that they will e-mail flyer's to their combine 36,000 members and with us that is over 40,000 people just in the v6 boards. We have allot of great ideas and fun things we want to do....one is a Drag Racing 101 class...should be a short 15-30 mins about track etiquette,,,difference between a sportsman tree and a pro tree,,,what it means to break out etc...how to read a time slip,,,you would be surprised the number of people that would love to compete but are too shy or nervous. another is a tour of race control...to see what is involved in running a class....a talk to the track prep guys to see what they go thru....just some ideads........LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

It has no real info and goes quickly into some inside joke about the dates.

Not very professional looking to try and draw folks in with that.

Though I don't think folks knowing is the problem its always location and time.
If they live close enough and got the time they will come. There is always a bunch who will go where ever it is but that group isn't as large as most would like.

Id start working on 09s event now by location. Make a map of all the BPG n other club members and along with some kinda of question sheet of folks who want to come and find where would be the closest and easiest to get to for to the most people, then have it there.

But id do that same thing over yearly so it always near the most people who want to go. Like some sort of pre year reg of intrest. If it ends up in the middle of Kansas then so be it, if it will be a record show year....

Mike you have my vote to get on the board, Sean also. We need to have John Schmidt voice on here regarding the race classes and the particulars. Sean we gotta rattle those trees and see what...who falls out. As far as the Board discussing the '08 Nats, well I know about as much as you do right now. It is time to move on this. And Elections.

we are working on a permanent solution...we have the dates and the track...just have a few call to hotels...and about 800 to vendors....it is up to our core members to srpead the word on the buick v8 sites...I have the v6 ones coverd even jeggs and summit that should some interest...so Come Jan 1st when my buzz has worn of I will move into high gear,,,,,,another suggestion is create a different logo...the same one we have now but with class sponsorsnin different shirt,,,font the same size the same,,,for TAISC primary sponcor would be Snows performance,,,'JCC Racing....only if they sponsor with cash would the names be on the ****rt,,,,if the donate parts or services then they are listed in the flyer,,,bigger the prize or sponsor ship the better vendor spot and exposure you will receive,,and the announcers will be promoting the crap out of you.. would be nice to do it for the other classes too.........to many ideas,,,,think we need a face to face,,,,,,

alos need a car count from last year,,,race car show cars and thise that showd up to watch so I can use those # in my next presentation to the vendors...allso how many people attended,,,and what proplems there were so whe can address thos concerns,,,,alot of people have asked for a bbq,,,that would have to be cleared with the food fendors....some want to race under the lights....with the TIASC class I want to start it in walmarts parking lot...no car trailored,,,tech nis done there,,,,they are given a # then the nuber are put into a hat and drawn out,,,,that who you run....you then drive back to the track...into the stagig lanes and f=ger readt to run on a pro tree..11.oo breakout,,,,,,should be fun
