since 340 headers are long in waiting, sbf headers are close. with some massaging they might work.

picked up a set of ''chrome'' long tube sbf headers tonite. these are thick metal headers.
short of getting the flange welded to the correct angle, there really isnt much to do.
the first 2 ports are almost exact. the rear 2 are about an 1 1/4'' short. the front 2 ports are done first and then you bend the rear 2 tubes to the back and finish the job. thin wall headers will be a lot easier than these 'heavy' ones i bought.
this could not be any simpler.![]()

hey gsj, how bout some pics of this project.
now how would i take pics. i bought a digital camera for xmas for my wife and THE DOG ATE IT. true story.
other than that, you will have visualize it. port to port width and port size are that close.
everybodys been scratching their head on doing 340 headers. here's the answer. now, just do it.![]()

I like your just do it attitude.
went back to look at the flowtech headers. they are different than the ones i bought, BUT, they are a lot easier to fit to the 340 than mine.

now, question is, how many 340 guys are going to step to thinking and doing OR will they still whine about ''i got no headers''............

But how do these headers fit on a 64-67 Special-Lark???
walt,
since i dont have any 340 headers, i did compare them to a 350 as far as depth and length. cutting the pass side at a 45 and installing a 340 flange looks almost perfect, location wise. the driver side maybe close, but i doubt it. and since the 67 has a 350 right now, i cant give a 100% answer.
but this is better than no header at all.
