Valve seats

I'm building a BBB and the machine shop said one of the exhaust valves needs a seat.

Question is should i try and find another 74 head
or just go with the new seat. cast iron heads.
fairly mild build, daily driver/strip.

You can put seats in the Buick 455 heads, just don't go too thick with the seat insert. It should be no problem, especially with Small valves. I use special diameter and thickness inserts to minimize the seat insert size.
