hi guys
been away awhile.
can anyone tell me if the aluminum heads from a 300 will fit any other nailhead ???? even if it requires some machine work, it would be worth the gain/loss in weight

To the best of my knowledge, the 300 heads will not fit a nailhead. Besides, the 300 aluminum heads don't flow all that well, as far as I recall.

The 300 is not a nailhead.

to qualify as a nailhead the dist has to be in the back not on the front of the motor
the 300 looks like a nail but it aint

They will fit the alloy 215 v8. Think you use the 215 4 bbl manifold. The 300 alloy heads came OEM with alloy gen/alt and PS brackets
