Neat idea!
I can't imagine how many quarts of oil those could have saved me over the last 20 years.![]()

Rick:
The idea started with my 72 GS 350 I was driving 120 miles a day in. The day I was scraping off the cork gaskets on the passenger side of the engine, I was so frustrated why no-one made load spreaders for anything other than small block chevies. I knew rubber gaskets sealed better, but the thin valve covers warped easy. Thus out of frustration came a permanent solution.

Yeah, I know what you mean Rick.
I was thinking of "easy ways" I could try to use them to make spacers for my 350 roller rockers, since TA only sells the tall gaskets for 455's.
I see Alan is from Bardstown KY. I wonder if I could get a free bottle of "Old Gran Dad".![]()
