Hi guys, I just joined up and its a pleasure to be here among Buick guys like myself. I am knee deep in a major overhaul of my 66 wildcat gs 425 at the moment.
I have a few questions if anyone can help me out.
1. is a nylon cam sprocket any good? I'm having trouble finding anything else.
2. when it comes to porting and polishing the heads: I have heard that air molecules travel better over a surface that is actually in a cross-hatch pattern rather than smooth? I wouldn't pay any attention to this other than the fact that a guy who owns a vette custom shop told me this.
3. when replacing a cam, is it necessary to replace the distributor as well?
