2009 Official SBB CHALENGE race rules.

This class is designed to showcase small block Buick powered vehicles. Only class requirement is that the car has a small block Buick for engine power. Class will follow standard bracket racing rules as outlined in General Race Rules section. No electronics or bracket racing aides are allowed. Transbrakes and two steps are permitted.

Does a N/A V6 qualify? Or, is that toooooo small?

Typically I wouldn't have a problem with this BUT, we have at least 2 NA Buick V6's I am aware of that run DEEP into the 10's one being a tube chassis car that is a serious contender for Q16 every year. One of these cars showing up and winning would take away from the intentions of the class as would you and your car winning. I would like to leave this class for the SBB V8's the V6's with or without turbos have plenty else to participate in.

ok i have a full bodied "nailhead " powered GS thats too slow to run with the 455 guys but isnt a small block....any help for us "underdogs" GSCA Natls used to have a "Nailhead powerd class" but I realize there are so few of us that race...

We actually have a bracket 1 and bracket 2. The bracket 1 will be for cars 11.99 and faster and the bracket 2 will be for cars slower than 12 flat. You will be surprised by how many "not so fast" cars show up. We will also be having a charity race where ANY car can race, even the tow vehicles, and its usually one of the most fun classes and great for the people who have never drag raced before, but want to wet their feet.

I wish we could have more specific classes, but there just aren't enough of any one type to justify making a class.
