Column/horn relay problems

Hi All,
Looking for some help. I recently bought a 70 GS 350 car that needs work all around. Well it had a short in the column that would make the buzzer and horn on and off when you shook it. I took the top part of the column apart and did see one of the wires in the bunch that was missing some insulation. For a quick fix I put some clear nail polish on it yesterday and let it dry. Put everything back together tonight and nothing...no horn...no buzzer with the keys in the ignition...Im having a hard time believing the relay took a crap that I must have done something wrong putting it together. I did jump the wires and the horn made some noise but I did not get the buzzer too..Any suggestions? thoughts? Thanks for the help!

Gary, what did you find was the problem?

Hi Henry,
For the short one of the turn signal wire was missing some insulation. Put some nail polish on it and taped it. So far so good. Only other fix is to buy the turn signal cams and wire kit if it start again.
