1st Annual BPG National Hotel Information

Well, the Red Roof 800# operators know nothing about the BPG block of rooms, as they have not been provided with a block code from the host location. They state there should have been a "B......" code issued for use by those booking rooms. Guess I'll call the local # listed to talk to someone in the know.

I'm booking Wed night thru Sat night.

Ok, I'm in! (at Red Roof) Was hoping for a King room, but they're gone already... Settled for a large double. Now, I just hope I can actually make the trip!

When I called also they said the same . After I explained further the guy then said he found the listings . Who knows, as long as there are rooms available that's the bottom line.

If there is any further problems though please post it so we can get on the horn ASAP and straighten it out.

Thanks Rick, I'm looking forward to meeting some members besides JW! I did go into all the details that are in the first post here, but "Mary" couldn't find anything. She did say there were rooms available, but I figured I would call the direct # to be sure I got it all done correctly. I forgot to ask at Red Roof if they had assigned a "B" code to the block of rooms.

Just got a large double. When I called the local number, the person I spoke with knew about the BPG block, so hopefully it's getting straightened out.

We'll be making the trip out from Cow Hampshire hopefully in our finished projects. Either way, it's going to be a blast.

Got a king. I hope the Riv is in the mood for a long drive come August. Let's see...4.5 hours from Hubbard Lake to Toledo, turn left and keep going until you smell the tire smoke. Does that sound right?

I hope we can get a Michigan convoy going. I'm getting too happy already.

I'm in at the Red Roof .. I called the 800 # at 11:30 PM last night (1/12) and the operator told me that all 80 BPG blocked rooms were taken.. , but I was able to reserve a King room without a problem.

Were all 80 rooms booked that quickly?

This will be the first long road trip for the GS..... I hope she makes it...

I just called them directly moments ago and got a large double room for all the days of the event.
Did they give you you the BPG rate?

She quoted me $55.99, the small double rate.
And yet confirmed I have the Large double.

I had no problems booking a large double...

Almost got a king, but decided to make some room for someone if they decide to ride along. You never know what can happen in 7 months

I got the non-BPG block King room for the same rate as the BPG price. I was told that the king room was all that was available There is still a chance that the wife and 2 small kids are coming so it looks like the kids will be sleeping on the floor.

I thought it was pretty amazing that all 80 rooms were booked (as the operator said) 1-1/2 hours after the hotel info was posted.

Either way, I have my room.....

I was worried after seeing all the replies about rooms, but I'm in!! I reserved off the Internet and got a King non-smoking for $59.49 a night which was an Internet special price.

Woohooo!!! Look forward to seeing everyone and their Buicks!!

I'm booked Wed-Sat night. I'm hoping to be able to follow someone out there just in case my convertible gives me trouble.

David G. are you taking your 68? My wife just made sure she took those days off and is pretty excited about taking a road trip.

I'd guess that there will be some sort of caravan heading that way. What are peoples plans from the MN area? Is anyone going to leave Tuesday morning and stay somewhere Tuesday night, then drive the rest of the way Wednesday morning? It's a little farther for me to drive to the Twin Cities first, otherwise I could meet up with the group in Eau Claire.

I booked the Roof for Wed-Sun, I didn't want to start driving back home Sunday afternoon after the racing was done. But if alot of people plan on doing that I may change my reservation.

That may work out for me, leaving on Tuesday and making the trip in two days. I'd like to hear what other's from MN are going to do too. I think it's about a 13 hour drive? a little over 800 miles each way.
